MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) The Massachusetts Institute of Technology OpenCourseWare offers materials from over 2300 courses in business, engineering, management, math, science, humanities and more. With video and audio lectures, interactive simulations and online textbooks, all courses in MIT’s OCW program feature calendars, syllabi, exams and supplementary materials. MIT OCW is a web-based publication of virtually all MIT course content used in the teaching of almost all of MIT’s subjects. MIT OCW is a permanent MIT activity available to the world, free of charge.

Open YALE Courses provide free and open access to a selection of introductory courses taught by distinguished teachers and scholars at Yale University. The aim of the project is to expand access to educational materials for all who wish to learn. All lectures are recorded in the Yale College classroom and are available in video, audio, and text transcript formats. Registration is not required.

Stanford Engineering Everywhere (SEE) expands the Stanford experience to students and educators online and at no charge. The SEE course portfolio includes one of Stanford’s most popular sequences: the three-course Introduction to Computer Science, taken by the majority of Stanford’s undergraduates, as well as more advanced courses in artificial intelligence and electrical engineering. View complete lecture videos via streaming or downloaded media—anytime, anywhere—on your PC, Mac or mobile device. Access full course materials including syllabi, handouts, homework, and exams. Stanford encourages fellow educators to use Stanford Engineering course materials in their own classrooms. A Creative Commons license allows for free and open use, reuse, adaptation and redistribution of Stanford Engineering Everywhere material.

Penn State OER Courseware Modules represent substantial portions of the resources provided to students who register in participating Penn State classes. These resources are available for reuse by teachers and learners worldwide who do not intend to apply for admission, register for classes, or pursue a certificate or degree at Penn State. The University of California, Irvine launched its OpenCourseWare initiative in November 2006. Since then, it has rapidly grown to become one of the premiere sites in the United States. Today, its YouTube channel, is viewed more than a million minutes per month. Its OpenChem project comprises video lectures that are more equivalent to the lectures in an undergraduate chemistry degree.

Carnegie Mellon University Open Learning Initiative offers online courses to anyone who wants to learn or teach.

TUFTS Open CourseWare provides free access to course content for everyone online. Tufts’ course offerings demonstrate the University’s strength in the life sciences in addition to its multidisciplinary approach and international perspective. Most of the open course ware contents are for Engineering studies; however, they also offer courses in medical sciences with a focus mainly on Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nutrition Science, Agriculture and veterinary Medicine.
